OUR MISSION:
To provide a flexible risk management  tool suited for reducing critical incidents by IDENTIFYING  and COMMUNICATING  CONSTRUCTION and MAINTENANCE HAZARDS. Methods used include interactive field assessment software designed to flag need for special permits, notify supervisors and provide first responder location and potential injury alerts.

DEFINING SAFETY METHODS -
SAFE WORK PERMIT (aka SITE SAFETY AUDIT) -
Some process industries require a hand written SAFE WORK PERMIT (Site Safety Audit) FORM be filled out prior to starting any work on an operating unit.

JOB HAZARD ANALYSIS (JHA) -
JHA usually includes a stand alone software program used for anticipating construction safety requirements including special permits.

TECHNOLOGY INCREASES SAFETY -
Weather Proof and Hazardous Area P.C. Tablets are now commercially available. This allows use of on-site Safe Work  Permits with Job Hazard Analysis.

SAFE-PASS Safe Work Permits are include JOB HAZARD ANALYSIS designed to identify and communicate on site construction hazards impacting:

  • PUBLIC HEALTH
  • PUBLIC SAFETY
  • ENVIRONMENTAL
  • SECURITY
  • LIABILITY (Assets).

OUR QUEST TO IMPROVE SAFETY -
SAFE-PASS Safe Work Permits are continually upgraded and strive to adhere to best safety practices found within:

  • Australia, OHS, National Standard for Construction Work
  • AS/NZS4360:2004 Risk Management
  • Canadian, CCOHS
  • Great Britain, Health HSC

CHANGE IN SAFETY MINDSET:
Identifying real-time field hazards provides a SAFETY POLICY CHANGE from  REACTIVE (life saving efforts after an critical incident occurs) to PRO-ACTIVE  (identifying, communicating and reducing hazards before they create an injury or death).  PRO-ACTIVE measures for reducing critical accidents include:

  • ELIMINATION- removes hazard from location.
  • SUBSTITUTION– reduces hazard impact, or eliminates hazard.
  • ENGINEERING CONTROLS- changes physical parameters.
  • ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROLS - applies procedures and practices.
  • (PPE) PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT suited to provide protection while completing  hazardous  tasks.

REDUCED HUMAN ERROR -
SAFE-PASS Safe Work Permits are pre-programmed to reduce human error in safety decision making:
  • Automatically FLAG  ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROLS (Special Permits and Procedures),
  • COMMUNICATE (via e-mail) hazards to decision makers and first responders who can implement standard methods for reducing hazards.
